EthnicThread allows direct connection and social networking between users , so there is no commission involved. You get to keep each cent of your hard earned money. The entire money you quote is just for you!
Just download the App from App store for iPhone users, and Play Store for Android users. Post Selfies, Invite friends, Follow other users and get your network going.
Once you download the app, you need to create your own profile. You can sign up using your email or use your facebook to log in. Make sure to turn your location settings and notification settings to get relevant results and not miss any interactions on your account. Once you log in, we will show you fashionistas closest to you, that is based on your location. You can always change this at any time. Next, if you wish to sell, just click photos and upload them.
Well, at EthnicThread, we just believe in quick fixes. That’s why it won’t even take you a minute to upload your pictures. All you need to do is click on ‘Post something’ next, tap the camera icon if you need to click a photo. If you already have a good photo, just tap on the Gallery icon and choose it. Write a nice little description, and name the price. And that’s all! Just hit ‘Upload’ to share the picture with everyone across the globe!
We do have one word of advice: Historically we have seen that some of our top sellers are the ones who have the best pictures. Let’s face it, you would buy something that looks appealing too. So try and take good pictures.

Retail Catalog photos are prohibited. This app is for people to post their personal style photos. Online shopping could be a disaster where the outfit you buy looks very different different from the catalog pictures that are heavily photoshopped. EthnicThread is a very personal platform where real people post real pictures. Follow our #RealPeopleRealModels self acceptance movement where we encourage women of all body shapes and sizes to proudly post their personal pictures.
The same outfit looks different on a different body type. There might be women out there who are looking for outfits that suit your body type. They will want to follow you for who you are, your style. Give them that opportunity to be inspired by you.
Your choice! Really. Clothing shown when a person is wearing them always gets better response than the pictures of clothing alone. If you wish to keep it private, we recommend you take photos nose and below unless it is a makeup photo you are trying to share. Just make sure lighting is good otherwise our Editors will have to remove those photos. Next best option is to take photos on hangers ( try hanger-on-a hanger trick) with your closet as background. Makes for perfectly great setup. Another idea is Store/Mall dressing rooms. Go with your best friends and have her take your photos, or take a mirror selfie.
EthnicThread is designed to be an Instagram Companion App. Use Instagram and post your outfit photos.
If you love Instagram and their new Layout App ( try it!), you can simply edit photos using those apps and create collages. Then load the collage on EthnicThread. Simple! If you need any more help, try reading this.
The easiest way by far is to save it locally on your phone and then load it in the app or use Instagram Layout app. Better direct approach coming soon.

Well, the basic process of clicking the pictures and uploading them remains the same. You need to choose the Rent option while uploading the item. You can also mention your terms and conditions about renting. For example: will you rent it for a day? Or will you need your dress back – dry cleaned? Or will you be fine to make any alteration to a rented dress? All that depends on you as a seller while renting your clothes / accessories.
It’s the age old ‘let’s exchange clothes with our friends and cousins’ mantra. You are free to list your own renting / exchanging terms under each listing. We recommend trying this out with locals. Go through reviews before you rent. Once you have a good following, and you follow people, you will get a good hint of whose style you like. Connect with them and go ahead with the exchange!
Oh oh. That doesn’t sound fun. Why don’t you like the product? Was it something the seller didn’t showcase? Or maybe you don’t like the way it looks on you. Try connecting with the seller to talk about this. If it doesn’t work out, however, you might want to review the seller especially if it’s something that was the seller’s fault.
Hey! Super. All you need to do is connect with your buyer. Chat inside the app or you can even exchange phone numbers and chat with each other if you wish. Then you can meet in person or courier the item to the buyer. Handle the payment using the trusted mode of payment. We recommend PayPal or a trusted bank transfer. We do not offer any logistical support, so it’s completely up to you how you wish to ship your item. You can write your terms in the product description.
Currently you cannot change your email address once you setup an account. You will have to create a new account or send an email to us at support@ethnicthread.com to change your email.
In the menu, go to “My Postings”. There on the top right corner of each listing, you will see an edit icon. Tap it and move follow the instructions.
When you are posting, you can hit the camera/photos icon (that you used to add first picture) again, and it will allow you to add another picture. This feature is great to show different angles of the same product. You may add as many pictures in the same listing as you like.
You will need to know the “Display name” of the person you are looking for. Tap the search button in the top right corner of the screen. Then tap “Find People”. Start typing the display name of the person you are looking for and it will take you their profile.
Tap the “search: icon in the top right corner.
On the following screen, select Product or Talent.
Then select the desired category for you are looking for. You may also add a specific color or keyword you are looking for (at the very top) to narrow your search results. (optional step)
Then select the desired distance you are willing to buy products from. The default setting is 100 miles. You can change it to as less as 1 mile or search in entire country.
Hit the “Search” button at the bottom
Tap the “search: icon in the top right corner.
On the following screen, change the country from your default country to the desired country.
Change the distance to “Anywhere within the country”.
Select Product or Talent.
(Optional step): Then select the desired category for you are looking for You may also add a specific color or keyword you are looking for (at the very top) to narrow your search results.
Hit the “Search” button at the bottom.
There are 2 ways to get to a chat session.
Tap “Offer” button next to any product they posted. That will open a private chat session with the seller.
Go to their profile, and click “Contact”. It will open a private chat session with the seller.
Tap the flag icon on the top left corner of the listing and it will get flagged to be reviewed by us. You may email us at support@ethnicthread.com to report the same.
